LEGAL COUNSEL M/F

boss consultant Monaco is recruiting, on behalf of its client based in Monaco, a Legal Counsel (M/F).
Key Responsibilities
- Legal Advice: Provide clear and timely legal advice on issues related to SBM Offshore's offshore energy activities, using solid legal research and good ethical judgment.
- Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts clearly and accurately, simplifying legal language when needed.
- Project Support: Work closely with business teams to give legal guidance throughout projects, applying strong business sense.
- Compliance: Keep track of laws and rules, especially in oil & gas, and help reduce risks.
- Communication: Explain legal points simply to leaders and teams to help them understand risks and actions.
- Process Improvement: Help improve legal templates and ways of working to make the team more efficient.
- Third-Party Coordination: Work with outside lawyers and auditors, ensuring good quality and ethical standards.
- Training: Support legal training to raise awareness about laws, risks, and compliance across the company.

Education:
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree, or equivalent qualification, preferably with specialization or coursework in energy law, environmental law, or maritime law.
Qualifications:
- Admitted to the bar in a relevant jurisdiction.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Experience:
- 3 to 8 years of legal experience, either as an in-house counsel or in private practice, preferably within the oil and gas, offshore, or energy sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to lead contract negotiations, draft legal documents with precision, and apply strong ethical judgment.
- Proficient in core legal competencies.
- Solid understanding of international contract law and the unique legal challenges involved in offshore operations.
Compensation commensurate with experience and profile.
